Why Rush Pike?
Pi Kappa Alpha is the preeminent Fraternity in North America. For nearly 140 years Pike has been committed to developing men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character. With a presence at over 200 universities and nearly 13,000 active undergraduate brothers, the average size of a Pike chapter is 62 men, which is the largest of any fraternity. Pike chapters across the country are the biggest and best on their campus, period.

Why Rush Pike at UNK?
The Iota Gamma Chapter (UNK Chapter) of Pi Kappa Alpha is one that has been a major presence on campus since its colonization in 1986. We have stood the test of time as other chapters on campus have come and gone throughout the years. The reason for Pike's success at UNK is an easy formula. We pride ourselves on recruiting the most outstanding scholars, leaders, athletes, and gentlemen on our campus. The following information proves our theory. The equation is simple: Rush Pike. Rush the Best.

The reason you came to UNK...
...is to leave Kearney as a successful student. Scholarship is the most important function of the Pike chapter at UNK. The Pikes at UNK consistently hold a higher GPA than the all campus average, which sits at a 2.8. The Nester Cup is an honor and trophy given to the fraternity with the highest GPA. The Pikes have held the cup numerous times and aiming for it every semester provides great motivation. To encourage the incoming freshmen at UNK to show commitment in the classroom, the Pikes have developed an annual scholarship that is awarded to the male that shows his commitment not only to academics but athletics and leadership as well. To be considered for this scholarship, just fill out the application in the Scholarship section.
So you want to be a leader...
...on a campus with over 5,400 undergraduate students? How would you like to be a part of an organization that is involved in over 23 other student groups on campus! Pike strongly encourages its members to not only join other student groups but to climb the hierarchical ladders of those organizations. We have current members serving as Student Body Vice President, Interfraternity Council President, Student Court Chief Justice, Student Alumni Foundation President, the Industrial Distribution Leadership Team and many more...Being members and leaders in these organizations is simply not enough for Pi Kappa Alpha. Some members study abroad to gain a world view and attend various other academic conferences.

Can you keep up...
...with the Pikes on the intramural fields? Pikes at UNK have won the Intramural Championship 13 out of the last 14 years! Individual, Team, and Co-Rec championships are won each year through the support of the fraternity. If Pikes aren't at the top in a particular event, they are near it, as we always compete hard and have fun. The Pike chapter welcomes and supports members involved in collegiate athletics. Current members of the chapter are involved in track and field, baseball, and golf. Be apart of the legacy...

Famous author Ralph Waldo Emerson...
...once said "The flowering of civilization is the finished man, the man of sense, of grace, of accomplishment, of social power--The Gentlemen." Pikes strive to show the rest of the community that fraternities do not act as they are portrayed in the media. Displaying appropriate conduct is valued in Pike. Interacting with many women on campus including sororities allows us to positively impact the reputations of fraternities everywhere by treating them with the respect they deserve.
