Every spring, the men of Pi Kappa Alpha sponsor the Kent Estes Memorial Golf Tournament. This event is the pinnacle of our philanthropic efforts, and rightfully so, as the golf tournament is held in memory of the late Dr. Kent Estes. Dr. Kent Estes, was an accomplished and loved professor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, but lost his battle with cancer in the spring of 2005. In order to give back to the university that he had a great passion and loyalty towards, two scholarships have been established and are available to students attending UNK.
This year marks the 6th year of tournament and we look forward in continuing the great success of the tournament's past. The past five years we have raised over $35,000. This year we want to continue to show our affection for Dr. Estes and his devotion to helping students prosper.
